We are starting to feel Christmassy here! Working for a church, Christmas planning starts well in advance of December, and now we are just focusing on the finishing touches; one of which involves making some treats for our toddler carol service in a couple of weeks’ time (local parents and carers take note – it’ll be a good ‘un)! One thing that we will probably provide for this is something that we experimented with last year, and that is our super-simple crispy Christmas puds! We decided to make a batch the other day, just for practice purposes of course; it’s a hard life!
To make these super simple buns:
Ingredients
Milk chocolate, white chocolate, Rice Krispies, Christmas sugar sprinkles (in holly and berry shapes if possible; alternatively you could make your own using coloured fondant icing, if you were so inclined).
Method
Start by melting the milk chocolate.
Add a few handfuls of Rice Krispies to the melted chocolate, and mix until they are evenly coated.
Spoon the mixture into bun cases and then leave to set for a couple of hours.
Once set, melt the white chocolate, and then add this to the tops of the buns.
Finish with the Christmas sprinkles.
Ok. I admit. These are not particularly Pinterest-worthy, but I am going to stick them there anyway!
Looks quite tasty! The little helpers are adorable!

These sounds tasty and very good fun to make with the kids. I have to say, what a good idea it is to have the kids make them on the floor! I only had carpet before now but we’ve just built an extension with laminate so now I have space to do more messy-ish but easily cleanable activities on the floor. I think it is very pinterest-worthy and will be adding it to my personal one! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday.
